PSA Prostate Cancer Screening Does More Harm Than Good, USPSTF Concludes

The final recommendations are a major shift in policy for the commonly performed blood test, and one certain to face ongoing controversy.

Citing evidence that prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening is associated with significant harms, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force now recommends against the prostate cancer screening test for all men, regardless of age.
