In a bipartisan deal to keep the government running, US lawmakers have agreed to a more than 1,000-page appropriations package in which Congress provides the Food and Drug Administration with about the same amount of funding it had last year.
The package passed the House of Representatives on 6 March and was taken up by the Senate on 8 March, the expiration date for the current continuing resolution. Members from both chambers began ironing out remaining differences
