Coronavirus Update: South Korean Nod For AZ/Oxford Vaccine, Actemra Progesses In Japan

South Korea approves AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 Vaccine, while Actemra moves forward in Japan after local study results.

South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has approved AstraZeneca PLC’s COVID-19 vaccine, AZD1222, for use in people aged 18 and over, on condition the company submits additional clinical trial results when these become available.

The vaccine is the first for the coronavirus to be approved in the country, where it will be manufactured locally under license by SK Bioscience
