Calliditas Confident Of Setanaxib's Potential Despite Unclear Data

Calliditas Therapeutics AB's bid to get a second asset across the regulatory finishing line – following its immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) treatment Tarpeyo – seems to have been boosted despite a mid-stage trial of setanaxib in head and neck cancer yielding mixed results.

The Swedish biotech has unveiled topline data from a Phase II trial evaluating setanaxib in combination with Merck & Co., Inc.'s checkpoint inhibitor blockbuster Keytruda (pembrolizumab) in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN)
