AorTech, a UK company developing a trileaflet heart valve using a proprietary new polymer, saw its turnover increase last year by 24%, to £3.45 million ($6 million). Commenting on developments over the year, the company was extremely positive about developments with the valve, moves at Elastomedic, the materials company which it earlier acquired (see Clinica No 900, p 11) and with the progress made towards the US launch of its TruCCOMS disposable, continuous output, cardiac catheter measurement device.
