After years of lobbying and data collection by industry and cardiology professional groups, the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has proposed to set national Medicare reimbursement rates for long-term cardiac monitoring, rather than rely on the rates set by the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs).
