Medtechs watch with interest as NICE, a long-standing component of market access for innovative technologies in the National Health Service, vows to get to grips with technology programs that often miss the target for developers of groundbreaking solutions.

Medtech users of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) have been given until 6 March to comment on proposed changes to the way organization works – or should work – for prospective applicants.

NICE was founded almost 26 years ago as an independent organization responsible for providing national guidance on treatments and care for those using the NHS in England and Wales.
