Direct OTC Purchases With Pre-Tax Savings Accounts Passes House

The Restoring Access to Medication Act, HR 1270, sponsored by Reps. Lynn Jenkins, R-KS, and Ron Kind, D-WI, passes the House in a 243-164 vote.

The House passes legislation allowing direct purchases of OTC drugs with pre-tax savings accounts, the first proposal for the change to pass in either chamber of Congress in the more than five years the industry has pushed for it.
