The effects of the coronavirus pandemic combined with the possibility of border disruptions at the end of the Brexit transition period have led the UK pharmaceutical industry to urge the government to build up its own stockpiles of medicines and bring back the emergency freight services that were put in place last year to deal with the possibility of a no-deal Brexit.
