The World Health Organization is laying down the ground work to ensure that African countries at risk of an Ebola outbreak are able to approve the vaccine for use soon after it is authorized in the EU or the US.

The World Health Organization has published a roadmap explaining the coordinating role it intends to play to help with the licensing and roll out of Merck Sharp & Dohme's experimental Ebola vaccine in selected African countries.
