Countries across the EU have been joining forces over the past few years to discuss and collaborate on pharmaceutical policy issues. They are hoping among other things to secure more sustainable drug prices and get a better grasp on what new medicines are on the horizon.

Pink Sheet Perspectives 2019 to 2020

Around the middle of the last decade, European countries began joining forces in an effort to provide sustainable access to affordable medicines. This trend of forging alliances was driven not least by the increasing number of ground-breaking but highly priced medicines coming to the market.

BeNeLuxA is perhaps the most well-known collaboration. It is also the most developed. The project came about following an alliance between Belgium and the Netherlands in 2015
