New EMA Boss To Be Elected On 25 June

Executive Summary: The European Medicines Agency’s management board has decided on December 2021 as the go-live date for the EU Clinical Trials Information System. It will also meet later this month to elect the EMA’s new executive director to succeed Guido Rasi.

The European Medicines Agency’s new Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) is expected to go live in December 2021, finally clearing the decks for the implementation of the much-awaited EU Clinical Trials Regulation from that date. The agency also announced that a new EMA executive director is due to be elected on 25 June.
