ALTERNATIVES TO ANIMAL TESTING WEB SITE LAUNCHING IN ABOUT SIX WEEKS to "increase access to information on ways to reduce, replace and refine the use of animals in research, education and testing," program sponsor Procter & Gamble announced March 12. The Web site will "serve as an accessible central location for scientists, educators, veterinarians and individuals...to obtain information on alternative methods" of research, P&G said. Work will begin on the site in roughly six weeks, with improvements to be added gradually over the next two years.
