NUFA hearing

The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions held a hearing on the National Uniformity for Food Act (S 3128) July 27. Witnesses included Peter Barton Hutt, Senior Counsel for Covington & Burling (Washington, D.C.), and former FDA Associate Commissioner for Policy William Hubbard. The HELP committee does not expect to vote on the legislation until after the August recess. NUFA was introduced in the House in October 2005.
