CB Fleet voluntarily recalls OTC OSP
CB Fleet, maker of the lone OTC oral sodium phosphate product, voluntarily recalls its Fleet Phospho-soda products following FDA's safety alert on the kidney injury risks associated with using the products for bowel cleansing. The recall "is directed to retailers and wholesalers" and Fleet decided "voluntarily to remove them from the market as expeditiously as possible," the Lynchburg, Va.-based firm says Dec. 11, referencing FDA's alert (1"The Tan Sheet" Dec. 15, 2008, p. 8).
