AVON ADDING IVYBLOCK TO SKIN-SO-SOFT LINE in May under a partnership with original IvyBlock Lotion marketer, EnviroDerm Pharmaceuticals. The Louisville, Ky.-based manufacturer owns the rights to the "only FDA approved formula [that] helps protect against poison ivy, oak and sumac when applied before contact," Avon noted. The direct sales company will expand distribution of the OTC poison ivy preventative lotion, bringing it into a mainstream, family-oriented market through Avon's catalog. EnviroDerm sells the lotion to a niche, outdoors market ("The Tan Sheet" March 9, p. 19).
