Firms From Miami To Malaysia Warned On Disease Claims For Supplements

Each of the 12 warning and five advisory letters lists products names and cites examples of violative claims each e-commerce business made online or in labeling for products they sell. Each business markets  numerous types of VMS products, but few of them are identified as the manufacturer of any brand it sells.

FDA demonstrated its heightened enforcement in the dietary supplement sector by identifying 17 firms from Miami to Malaysia making claims that products labeled as supplements will treat Alzheimer's disease, other neurological conditions as well as diabetes and cancer.
