DoJ Prosecutions: USPlabs Guilty, DMBA Firm Indicted From FDA Investigations

USPlabs executives, others plead guilty to felony charges stemming from marketing unsafe products labeled as supplements but containing DMAA and linked to hepatitis. Blackstone Labs and other firms indicted on felony charges following FDA investigation for marketing DMBA-containing products. FDA investigations leading to guilty pleas on charges linked to[USPlabs LLC]'s unsafe products and to an indictment alleging sales of anabolic steroids as dietary supplements reflect a show of force stakeholders welcome to rid the market of businesses that flout the agency's regulations.

The Department of Justice on March 13 announced the USPlabs-related convictions in US District Court for the Northern Texas District and the indictment of defendants connected to Blackstone Labs LLC and Ventech Labs LLC in the Southern Florida
