DuPont already is a leading probiotic ingredient supplier in the dietary supplement space while Procter & Gamble differentiated its Align supplement line from launch as probiotic products. Indicating they expect probiotics to continue growing as nutritional market revenue drivers, the firms are starting a partnership to develop what they call “next generation probiotics,” initially to be used in supplements.
