Customer, Doctor Requests Sprout Desert Harvest's Study Of Aloe Vera To Treat Interstitial Cystitis

CEO Heather Florio says Desert Harvest has another reason for researching its concentrated aloe vera extract as potential interstitial cystitis treatment: offering consumers a lower priced and more effective treatment than the currently available drug indicated for IC treatment, pentosan polysulfate sodium.

So many customers have told aloe vera supplement manufacturer Desert Harvest Inc. that its concentrated extract helps lessen symptoms of interstitial cystitis, CEO Heather Florio says the company is attempting to have its formulation approved as a drug in the US.

Florio told HBW Insight that interest from health care professionals about Desert Harvest’s product helping consumers with interstitial cystitis also influenced the company launched in 1993 to begin clinical trials testing the product’s potential value for treating the chronic
