US dietary supplement industry groups are making a list of gifts they don’t want delivered during Congress’s lame duck session and are checking it twice by reminding lawmakers about their concerns.

The American Herbal Products Association urges the chairs and ranking members of congressional committees with oversight of the Food and Drug Administration – Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and the House Energy and Commerce – not to pass legislation which would require supplement firms to submit product listings to the FDA

Little Industry Opposition To FDA Plan To Remove Synthetic Dyes, Or Agreement They’re Unsafe

Dyes and colors which FDA says industries agree should no longer be used aren’t unsafe and are currently used only with the agency’s approval, industry stakeholders say.
