The Estee Lauder Companies’ expanding use of artificial intelligence includes an internal-facing generative AI chatbot to help users “efficiently navigate and further leverage ELC's proprietary and extensive database of product and claim data.” Meanwhile, Prose Beauty is leveraging AI to market personalized skin and hair products at scale, and Vagaro to provide salons and spas with “instantly crafting polished communications, such as service and policy descriptions, effective marketing messaging, and more.”

The Estee Lauder Companies, Inc. aims to strengthen consumer connections and increase speed to market with enhanced local relevancy through an expanded partnership with Microsoft Corporation.

Lauder’s strategic relationship with Microsoft began in 2017, leveraging the tech giant’s Azure OpenAI platform for its Voice-Enabled Makeup Assistant launched in January 2023
