Unilever PLC: Purchases Witco Corp.'s remaining 60% interest in Haifa, Israel-based Witco, Ltd., effective April 1, Greenwich, Conn.-based Witco Corp. said. Witco Ltd., which posted sales of $2.4 bil. in 1995, manufactures cosmetics and the well-established Pinuk personal care line in Israel. Unilever currently sells its Dove, Vaseline and Lux brands in Israel. Unilever also owns an Israeli ice cream company Glidat Strass.
