REACH Registrants Should Bone Up On Alternative Test Requirements – ECHA

The European Chemicals Agency examined 164 animal testing proposals last year under the EU’s REACH regulation, resulting in 133 draft decisions seeking additional information, according to its 2016 Progress Report, which includes recommendations for existing and prospective registrants. The agency has implemented a tightened approach to ensure that animal testing is undertaken only as a “last resort.”
