Sunscreen Firms’ SPF Court Battles Go On, While Consumer Reports Prepares 2018 Review

SC Johnson’s motion to dismiss litigation challenging its Babyganics SPF claims was denied March 29 in Illinois’ Northern District, while Banana boat owner Edgewell emerged from mediation efforts earlier in the month without a resolution. Consumer Reports, whose SPF testing sparked the litigation frenzy, says its 2018 sunscreen market review is on the way.
