EU OTC Batch Testing Will Continue To Be Accepted In UK, For Now

Recognition of EU/EEA batch testing of imported medicines by UK will not be ending on 1 January 2023, and companies will be given two years notice if anything changes, says MHRA.

New regulations requiring OTC medicines imported from the European Union to be re-tested for quality control purposes before sale in the UK will not be introduced from January 2023 as originally planned, according to the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
