Unilever PLC is divesting Dollar Shave Club as part of targeted action plan under new CEO Hein Schumacher that will narrow its strategic focus to 30 “power brands.”

The London-based marketer of beauty and personal-care brands including Dove, Vaseline and Axe announced on 26 October that it will sell the majority of the subscription razor business to LA-based private equity firm Nexus
