L'Oréal SA has signed an exclusive partnership with scent and ingredient developer Cosmo International Fragrances for use of a technology using only air to extract volatile fragrance molecules of flowers, fruits and other natural ingredients.

Beauty giant says its partnership with Cosmo International Fragrances “open[s] the door to new fragrance frontiers.”
Cosmo’s extraction technology harnesses the volatile fragrance molecules of flowers, fruits and other natural ingredients using only air, without the need for heating, cooling or chemical solvents used in conventional scent extraction, L’Oreal says. A tuberose extract is first in line for use in a perfume targeted for launch in 2024.
